RICHARD E. GREENBERG
RICHARD E. GREENBERG
Richard Greenberg is a successful producer, corporate executive, author, entrepreneur, multi-patented inventor, and college-level instructor whose diverse interests have kept him active in the technically challenging electronic post-production, distribution and entertainment marketing industries for over thirty years. Richard has the ability to explain complex things in simple terms and, as a result, has proven to be a capable motivator, team leader, and communicator. Greenberg’s work experience (detailed below) reflects his wide range of interests and capabilities. Richard is also a published author, published songwriter, and admitted closet nerd.
Richard currently provides a variety of consulting services through his corporation, State of the Heart Productions, Inc. These consultations vary from technical research and market analysis, to long term engagements focused on post production processes, creation of marketing materials and the formulation of sales strategies. Mr. Greenberg is also a popular Instructor at the UCLA Extension and offers seminars to professionals, simplifying the post production process and explaining technology to people who are intimidated by its perceived complexity.
Prior to committing his full time to State of the Heart, Richard lent his talents to SeamBI, an Israeli startup (pronounced SeemBee). While there, Greenberg worked with the CEO to define the company’s marketing strategy, worked with the engineering staff (in Israel) to made the user interface more user friendly, and created print and video sales tools for use in the promotion of SeamBI’s service, Dynamic Product Placement. Richard was SeamBI’s first employee in the United States, and led the company’s push into the entertainment sector. SeamBI currently provides Dynamic Product Placement in the multi-market syndication of 20th Television’s “How I Met Your Mother” and “My Name is Earl”.
Prior to SeamBI, Richard was the Executive Producer of eHealth Networks, a company specializing in the creation of medical content for digital signage and private networks. In this capacity, Greenberg produced new content (Dr. Interviews, hosted segments, man on the street, etc.) and supervised the programming of monthly one-hour loops that included music videos, theatrical trailers, medical and non-medical advertising, and other programs. Additionally, Greenberg managed the upload and broadcast engineering relationship with, Broadsign, the digital distribution entity, and produced a website for eHealth to be used as a sales tool; reaching out to not only the pharmaceutical community, but also advertisers and patients.
Greenberg received the eHealth Networks assignment through his position as the Executive Vice President of a group of related companies that included eVision (Digital Signage and Private Networks), Lightning Media (Media Distribution), The Post Group (Post Production), Novastar Digital Sound (Sound Mixing and Restoration), i/O Film (Digital Intermediates), Runway (Edit System Rentals and Service), and Creative Edge (Web Design and Implementation). Prior to focusing on eVision and creating the eHealth Network, Richard was responsible for guiding the cultural and systemic integration of those diverse companies as well as supervising and coordinating their efforts in the areas of sales and marketing.
From 2003 to 2005, Greenberg was President of Pellerin Multimedia, Inc. (PMI), a production company specializing in the creation of bonus materials for DVD. During that time he supervised the administration and finances of the production and post-production of award-winning documentary materials for “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” as well as the set up, budgeting, and production of behind the scenes materials, including “web diaries” and other innovations, on Peter Jackson’s “King Kong”. Richard was also involved in the production of bonus materials for the re-release of “King Kong” (1933).
Greenberg received his BA in English from UCLA (‘76), speaks fluent Spanish, and is married to his childhood sweetheart, with whom he shares three sons and a daughter.
